What is Trendlines 3i Accelerator Programme? It is a 12-week program that aims to support and develop early-stage agrifood tech start-ups. The program is supported by a team of industry experts and external partners, including IP strategy, law, and marketing professionals, as well as entrepreneurs in residence who have founded their own start-ups. Overall, the 3i Accelerator aims to help agrifood tech start-ups turn their ideas into successful businesses by providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. For the 2023 cohort, Trendlines is specifically focusing local Singaporean Agritech Start-ups.
-
What stage of start-ups are eligible for the programme? We welcome early-stage start-ups, either pre-seed or idea stage. Come to us with an Idea, walk with us throughout the programme and we help you Inoculate and Ignite it!
-
What is the commitment required for the programme? The minimum time commitment for our program is approximately 3 hours a week on Thursdays, with occasional events and sessions that may require the participant's attendance throughout the 3-month program duration. The compulsory events include the Kick Off session (4th May) and Demo Day in early August. Other occasionally events include Farmer’s markets and open house programs organised by City Sprouts.
-
What workshops does the programme provides? Our workshops are organized into three stages to align with the 3i program's three pillars: Ideate, Inoculate, and Ignite. During the Ideate stage, founders receive support in testing the feasibility and durability of their ideas. In the Inoculate stage, industry mentors and trainers provide guidance to the founders. We are excited to announce that this year, we are partnering with City Sprouts to enhance our workshops by offering training in community and industry outreach. The final stage is the Ignite phase, where start-ups undergo a comprehensive pitch training workshop to prepare them for the final Demo Day
-
Does the programme guarantee investments from Trendlines? The 3i Accelerator program offers start-ups some monetary support to cover their expenses during the program, for tech development, equipment and material purchases. However, participating in the program does not guarantee that the start-ups will receive investment from Trendlines. The investment decision is based on the start-ups' performance and potential and is subject to evaluation by Trendlines and its investment partners. The in-kind support provided by the Trendlines team extends beyond the program time frame. The alumni of the program will continue to have access to the expertise and resources of the Trendlines team, including their network of industry partners and investors, even after they have completed the program.
-
Does the programme guarantee free greenhouse space from City Sprouts? We're pleased to announce that our partners at City Sprouts have offered to provide greenhouse space for this year's cohort to test their innovations during the program. Allocation of space will be determined jointly by Trendlines and City Sprouts based on the proposals and pitches submitted by the start-ups. The monetary support provided by Trendlines can be used to cover the costs of installation and running trials within the greenhouse. If start-ups wish to continue using the space at City Sprouts after the program, they may reach out to City Sprouts directly.
-
What is the fee structure for the programme? The programme does not come with any fees, in fact our zero-equity programme takes nothing from your company but gives you everything! If the program is of interest, take a bite! Apply now!
